Industrial Plating Processes

Processes

From Stampings to Server Racks

We run the process your parts need. Barrel for bulk hardware, rack for precision components, King Kong for oversized assemblies, and in-house baking for hardened steel. With every process under one roof, our industrial zinc plating services work like an extension of your team, handling the plating so you can focus on the rest of your project.

Why The Right Plating Process Matters

The zinc plating process isn’t one-size-fits-all, every part plates differently. Factors like base material, size, geometry, and specific features determine how a part should be run for a durable, uniform finish. Springs may tangle in the barrel, complex parts must be oriented carefully during racking, and oversized assemblies can’t fit in standard tanks.

That’s why process selection is so important. We plate each part using the method that best fits its design, and we’ve built the capacity to do it at scale:

Barrel Plating for High-Volume Hardware

30+ barrel stations keep high-volume hardware moving quickly. Alkaline baths provide even coverage in corners and recesses, while tumbling action naturally deburrs as parts plate.

Rack Plating for Complex or Delicate Parts

Customized racking ensures larger and complex components are oriented by geometry and part features for a full coverage finish, minimizing defects like blistering or bleed-out.

King Kong Line: Oversized Plating Capacity

Oversized capacity up to 27 ft / 8,000 lbs allows large, long and heavy parts to be plated in a single pass, eliminating the need for “double dipping” which can lead to incomplete coverage, cosmetic deficiencies and increased costs.

Hydrogen Embrittlement Relief Baking for Hardened Steels

In-house hydrogen embrittlement relief baking uses certified ovens with customizable 4–24 hour cycles and full bake charts to protect high-strength steels.

Real-Time Adjustments for Reliable Results

Our plating process allows our team to adjust in real time, catching and correcting issues before they become delays. That flexibility delivers the same attention you’d expect if plating were done at your own facility, only with the scale and speed your production demands.
